Person Struck, Killed By Metro-North Train Near Darien

A 50-year-old man was struck and killed by a Metro-North train Thursday night near Darien.

According to Metro-North officials, the incident took place around 7:35 p.m. Dec. 13 at Noroton Heights. The train had departed Grand Central at 6:49 p.m. headed for New Haven.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His identification is pending notification of next of kin.

MTA Police are investigating.
